Ryann and Jurrell Casey met in college at the University of Southern California, and while they were both focused on their chosen career paths, they were also developing and shaping their hearts for others. After settling into Nashville, the Casey Fund was started to support community-based organizations that address needs of at-risk youth as well as formerly incarcerated individuals.
At-risk youth generally start their lives in disadvantaged communities and therefore do not reach their full potential. Correcting this trend begins with exposure to role models as well as additional academic enrichment and resources.
The Casey Fund is eager to work with organizations that strive toward leveling the playing field for all children by providing programming that supports them academically, socially, and athletically.
Formerly incarcerated people can contribute to society, especially if they are able to receive the necessary support through employment and opportunities, as well as mental health and drug rehabilitation. The Casey Fund is excited to work with organizations that ensure newly released individuals are able make successful transitions into society and make prison a distant memory.
Over the years, the Casey Fund continues to expand its reach as it is now focused on supporting additional communities based in both Long Beach, California and Denver Colorado. Since 2021, The Casey Fund has committed over $75,000 to organizations benefiting underserved communities. The Casey fund’s vision includes supporting one organization per quarter.
